CAHIMS – Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems
CPHIMS – Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems
CPDHTS – Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy

Yes! While HIMSS is a global organisation, digital health transformation is a national priority in Australia, and HIMSS certifications help professionals align with emerging industry standards and best practices.
The program includes:
- 2 days of live online training, covering key HIMSS exam topics.
- Access to additional self-study resources and exam preparation materials.
- A community of likeminded digital health professionals who have or are completing the certification
Participants have up to 90 days after completing the course to schedule and take their exam.
CAHIMS Exam: 115 multiple-choice questions, 2 hours
CPHIMS Exam: 115 multiple-choice questions, 2 hours
CPDHTS Exam: 100 multiple-choice questions, 2 hours
Exams are computer-based and you will have access to a Pearson testing platform to complete the exam. You will also be told by the system whether you have passed the exam or not.
Both CAHIMS and CPHIMS cover key areas such as:

- Clinical informatics & data governance
- Health information systems & interoperability
- Privacy, security & compliance
- Leadership in digital health
CPDHTS cover key areas such as:
- Digital health transformation strategy
- Governance, policy, and compliance

Participants can retake the exam after a waiting period. This will be administered by HIMSS and will be subject to additional fees. You won’t need to participate in the course element again, however if you feel you would like to, we can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
Our program provides comprehensive support, study resources, and practice exams to best position you for success on the first attempt, however we can’t guarantee this.
