A two-day interactive course conducted in person or virtually whatever best suits your team

To qualify for the CAHIMS Exam and earn your certification, it is recommended you meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1:
Hold a Certificate, diploma or equivalent, and
Complete at least 45 hours of continuing education in healthcare information technology, digital health, or informatics (aligned with CAHIMS Exam Topics), or
Accumulate 150 hours of experience in an IT or healthcare setting (volunteer, internship, practicum, or work).
Option 2:
Hold a degree from an accredited institution, and
Complete at least 25 hours of continuing education in healthcare information technology, digital health, or informatics (aligned with CAHIMS Exam Topics), or
Accumulate 75 hours of experience in an IT or healthcare setting (volunteer, internship, practicum, or work).

Self-Assessment Exam:
The CAHIMS Self-Assessment Exam is a 50-question online practice test that mirrors the certification exam's structure and content areas. This isn’t included in the certification cost and can be purchased directly from HIMSS.
Key Features:Aligns with the CAHIMS certification exam in content and format (though shorter in length and not predictive of exam performance).
Provides detailed feedback on incorrect responses for targeted study.

Discuss registering your internal cohort with the Evolve team and be guided through the review course, and advised on how to get your team certified directly with HIMSS

Format: A two-hour exam with 115 multiple-choice questions (100 scored).
Focus: Demonstrates foundational knowledge and skills essential for emerging digital health professionals, establishing competency in core concepts and practices in healthcare information and management systems.
Location: Administered remotely via a secure, proctored internet-based platform.
Time: You have up to 90 days following your registration to sit the exam with HIMSS
Steps to take the exam:
Apply and receive your eligibility ID number.
Schedule your exam through the online portal.
Results: Candidates receive their results immediately upon completing the test.
