  • A two-day interactive course conducted in person or virtually whatever best suits your team

  • To qualify for the CPHIMS Exam and earn your certification, it is recommended you meet one of the following criteria:

    Option 1:

    • Hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, and

    • Have five years of experience in information and management systems*,including three years in a healthcare setting.

    Option 2:

    • Hold a post graduate degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and

    • Have three years of experience in information and management systems*,including two years in a healthcare setting.

    Option 3:

    • Have at least 10 years of experience in information and management systems*, including eight years in a healthcare setting.

    Information and management systems experience includes roles in:

    • Systems analysis, design, selection, implementation, support and maintenance

    • Testing and evaluation

    • Privacy and security

    • Information systems or clinical informatics

    • Management engineering

    Self-Assessment Exam:

    The CPHIMS Self-Assessment Exam is a 50-question online practice test that mirrors the certification exam's structure and content areas. This isn’t included in the certification cost and can be purchased directly from HIMSS
    Key Features:

    • Aligns with the CPHIMS certification exam in content and format (though shorter in length and not predictive of exam performance).

    • Provides detailed feedback on incorrect responses for targeted study.

  • Discuss registering your internal cohort with the Evolve team and be guided through the review course, and advised on how to get your team certified directly with HIMSS

  • Format: A two-hour exam with 115 multiple-choice questions (100 scored).

    • Focus: Validates advanced knowledge and expertise, reflecting the skills required for seasoned professionals to excel in complex digital health roles and contribute meaningfully to organisational success.

    • Location: Administered remotely via a secure, proctored internet-based platform.

    • Time: You have up to 90 days following the course to book your exam

    Steps to take the exam:

    1. Apply and receive your eligibility ID number.

    2. Schedule your exam through the online portal.

    Results: Candidates receive their results immediately upon completing the test.
